A truck driver from Rajasthan was killed and two others wereinjured due to shooting stone, second such fatal incident in as many days atRamban along Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmirwith rest of the world, which remained blocked due to landslides and shootingstones on Sunday.

Official sources told that a truck (RJ04GB-7727), strandedon highway, came under shooting stone, resulting into on the spot death ofdriver Deva Ram of Rajasthan. The other person part of the truck was cookingthe food on roadside and he had a miraculous escape, they said.

In another accident, shooting stone hit another truck(JK05B-1730), carrying LPG cylinders, at Khoni Nallah area. Two persons sufferedminor injuries, they said.

Meanwhile, Srinagar-Jammu highway remained blocked due tolandslides and shooting stones at several places between Ramban - Banihalstretch, they said.

A traffic official said that people are advised to undertakejourney on the highway after confirming the status from traffic authorities.
